It’s National Health IT Week 2017, a time to celebrate the vital role of technology in transforming the quality of healthcare. National Health IT Week is now in its 11th year. This year National Health IT Week will highlight health IT’s goals of making communities healthier, increasing economic opportunities, widening access to quality healthcare and supporting healthcare transformation.
Over 400 organizations around the country participate in National Health IT Week, taking part in many events for education and outreach. Find an event near you.
In addition organizers have made it easy for the public to support health IT by contacting their government representatives via a “Virtual March on the States”. It is hoped that this virtual march will bring health IT to the forefront of the country’s attention.
The public can also share their own health IT related stories to impact policymakers’ decisions.
